Privacy Policy

SuperYacht.app ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, the legal basis for processing, and your rights under GDPR, UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act.

1. Data we collect

  • Inquiry data: name, email, phone, charter dates, party size, budget range, dietary preferences and any notes you submit via our forms or AI Charter Advisor.
  • Account data (brokers): name, email, brokerage company, region, verification documents.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, referrer, device and browser type, anonymised IP address.

2. Why we process your data

  • To route inquiries to verified, licensed yacht charter brokers (legitimate interest / contract).
  • To operate the broker portal, fleet management and inquiry inbox (contract).
  • To improve the platform and detect abuse (legitimate interest).
  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax, anti-money-laundering checks where applicable).

3. Who we share data with

Inquiry data is shared only with the verified broker(s) matched to your request. We use the following sub-processors:

  • Lovable Cloud (hosting, database) — EU/US.
  • Lovable AI Gateway (powers the AI Charter Advisor).

We do not sell personal data.

4. Where data is stored & retained

Data is stored on managed infrastructure with at-rest encryption. Inquiry records are retained for up to 36 months for legitimate broker follow-up; account data is retained while your account remains active and for 12 months thereafter.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or erasure ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of your data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@superyacht.app. We respond within 30 days.

6. International transfers

Where data is transferred outside the EEA / UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

7. Children

The platform is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
