Maldives

Twenty-six atolls of private anchorages.

The cruising ground

The Maldives is the Indian Ocean's definitive superyacht destination — 1,192 coral islands across 26 atolls, most without a dock, a road, or another yacht in sight. Charters embark from Malé and move between uninhabited islands, marine protected areas and resort anchorages, with seaplane transfers replacing roads entirely.

Best season

November through April (northeast monsoon) — dry, calm and clear. Manta ray season in Baa Atoll runs June to November.

Operational notes
  • — 01Seaplane transfers from Velana International (MLE) direct to the yacht
  • — 02Marine protected areas including Hanifaru Bay and South Ari — permits arranged by your broker
  • — 03Anchorages at uninhabited islands with no other vessels in sight
  • — 04World-class diving: whale sharks, manta rays and hammerheads year-round
